Rather than seek a cure — since none is known — the professor has confined them to a secret chamber beneath the University, studying the strain in hopes of unlocking its latent psionic potential without harming the hosts. This is one of several such "Progressed" horrors haunting the "The Arcane University" campaign's depths.
