Half-Elves are rare to see within the Inquisitors, as many Baldurians superstitiously associate all Elves with magic and Minera’s Breath. Even rarer is a Half-Elf gifted with psionic potential, a trait that usually only emerges in humans. After a recent incident that cost him his vision, Varys has begun to awaken to psionic powers. The Inquisitors, differentiating it from the evil they associate with the Breath, wish to see how these powers might manifest — hoping to move him to the Dark Inquisitors if he proves himself useful, and secretive. Crafted for the “Bastion of the Wandering Mage” campaign, this miniature captures an initiate awakening to a power his order barely understands.
