When Dragonblight gripped Canos, Cobalt Fairfax was one of the first lines of defense in setting up the quarantine. Struck by one of the plague monsters, he underwent a complete transmutation to replace his outer flesh for stone in a desperate bid to stall the infection. He now teaches Transmutation at the University of Canos — part of the "The Arcane University" campaign lineup — a living monument to the most extreme reaches of his school of magic.
